HORSES FOR SALE
A purchase can be secured with a minimum of 10% deposit, subsequently forming a secure contract.
All our horses are open to a veterinary inspection prior to purchase. This should be arranged within 7 days of the agreed sale.
If the horse should fail the vetting any deposit will be refunded. However, if the client merely has a change of mind then any deposit will be forfeited.
If the horse should pass the vetting then any balance of payment will be due within 3 days and the horse should subsequently be collected within a further 3 days after this payment has been cleared.
Horses left at Keatinge Trakehner Stud after this time frame may be liable for livery charges, including all veterinary and farriery costs.
No horses are permitted to be removed from the premises before being paid for in full by cleared funds.
Foals purchased must be paid for in full and will be kept until weaning free of charge. Once weaned, livery charges will become liable including all veterinary and farriery costs.
All horses are sold as seen and whilst we take every effort to ensure all information is accurate sometimes errors may occur. All information on the web site is intended as a guide only and does not form part of any contract or offer of sale.
USE OF STALLIONS
All Stud fees are payable in advance. The cost of the AI collections and post and packaging will be invoiced directly from the AI centre.
NFFR - No foal free return - if the mare is certified barren by 1st October of the same year a free return to the same mare is offered for the following year.
The mare must be considered a good fertile prospect and all stud work must be carried out by a fully qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is competent with AI techniques.
All supporting documentation for all AI work must be returned by the Veterinary Surgeon before covering certificates will be issued.
All veterinary work carried out on behalf of clients whilst visiting Keatinge Trakehners, Stud will be done with Hook Norton Veterinary Surgeons and all costs will be charged directly to the client.
A negative EVA (Equine Viral Artritis) blood test and a clear CEM (Contagious Equine Metritis) certificate must accompany all visiting mares.
It is the responsibility of the owners to provide insurance for their horses, we will accept no responsibility for the covering of insurance for visiting mares.
Any necessary farriery or veterinary work will be carried out accordingly and charged directly to the owners.
VAT is charged on all accounts.
Keatinge Trakehner Stud will take every care to ensure that all horses receive the best possible care, however, we cannot accept liability for injury or illness to either horse or owner whilst at the stud’s facilities.
